4cost-aces/LCC

Analyse and optimise lifecycle costs at an early stage

What is 4cost-aces/LCC?

4cost-aces/LCC is an optional extension module for the costing software 4cost-aces. It enables you to perform a comprehensive analysis of the life cycle costs of your products – from development to operation and maintenance to disposal.

4cost-aces/LCC allows early identification of cost drivers and supports strategic decisions regarding availability, spare parts management, maintenance, repair, design, investments and long-term profitability. This enables you to lay the foundation for cost-optimised projects right from the start.

  • Up to 80% faster than conventional costing methods

  • Applicable regardless of technology and industry
  • Seamless integration into 4cost-aces

Areas of application

  • Life Cycle Costing (LCC)

  • Total Cost of Ownership

  • Risk analysis

  • Spare parts management

  • Resource management

  • Logistics analyses

  • OBC (Outcome Based Contracting)

  • How to perform lifecycle costing and use the results as a basis for sound business decisions

Consistent cost transparency throughout the entire product life cycle

Integrated cost management involves considering lifecycle costs – also known as lifecycle costing. Not only the acquisition costs, but also the costs of operation and disposal play a decisive role here – both from the perspective of the manufacturer and the customer.

4cost-aces/LCC enables you to seamlessly simulate cost structures for the entire product life cycle right from the planning and concept stage. The insights gained help you to correctly assess the value and cost-effectiveness of expensive capital goods and to initiate cost optimisation measures at an early stage.

With 4cost-aces/LCC, you can simulate different operating times throughout the year and map costs depending on usage intensity. You can also set different usage conditions and stress scenarios such as environmental influences, personnel and switching rates to analyse their impact on costs.

In 4cost-aces/LCC, you can set maintenance classes and costs as well as maintenance cycles (preventive maintenance) to examine the influence of quality characteristics, product properties and maintenance scenarios on the mean time between failures (MTBF). If you do not specify the MTBF yourself, the system calculates it automatically.

In addition, various repair logics can be set in 4cost-aces/LCC (e.g. on site, at the maintenance centre or at the manufacturer) in order to draw conclusions about the costs of downtime and the repair time (mean time to repair, MTTR). This can also be calculated automatically by the software.

Use 4cost-aces/LCC to quickly simulate various logistics scenarios in order to make informed decisions about the optimal location of warehouses and transport methods.

4cost-aces/LCC supports you in determining the optimum quantity required for stocking spare and wear parts. This reduces downtime, lowers storage costs and ensures high product availability.

Use 4cost-aces/LCC to determine the total end-of-life costs of your products and all relevant follow-up costs for disposal or recycling, with a focus on sustainability.

Make the right decisions based on sound results. 4cost-aces/LCC generates meaningful reports in real time that transparently display all relevant results of your lifecycle cost analysis. All reports can be exported as Excel files, among other formats.
