For the third RAILWAY Supplier Summit, the Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management invited renowned representatives of the rail industry to Vienna on 14 and 15 May 2025. Purchasing managers, technology pioneers, political decision-makers and sustainability officers exchanged views on the topic of \u201cTransforming railway supply chains: leveraging digitalisation and sustainable practices for a resilient future\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>

4cost was present at the summit as a sponsor and exhibitor to present its innovative costing solutions<\/a>. As part of an innovation pitch, Joachim Sch\u00f6ffer, Managing Partner of 4cost GmbH, explained the extent to which modern costing methods minimise risks and improve the profit margin over the entire product life cycle.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cWe spoke to many participants who all face the same challenges when it comes to cost management. They need more efficiency when creating calculations, reliable cost transparency over the entire life cycle of their products and the ability to reliably calculate innovations. Our costing software<\/a> addresses all of this,\u201d summarises Mr Sch\u00f6ffer.<\/p>\n

The event offered exclusive insights into the strategies and solutions of well-known companies such as \u00d6BB, DB, Siemens, Alstom, Stadler and \u0160koda. \u201cOn site, we were able to establish promising contacts with the participating industry representatives, outlined solutions and in some cases agreed further steps,\u201d adds Stefan Geiger, sales representative at 4cost.<\/p>\n<\/div>
