For the fifth time, the Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management invited leading industry representatives, innovators and experts from the agricultural machinery industry to discuss current developments and issues. The two-day programme offered an interesting mix of inspiring keynotes, interactive workshops and panel discussions. During the discussion panel \u201cPowering the Fields\u201d, Mr Sch\u00f6ffer exchanged views with high-ranking representatives from Dana, FPT Industrial and TADUS on future engines for agricultural machinery. The panellists came to the conclusion that there will not be a single engine in the medium to long term. Instead, there will be a mix of engines depending on performance and tasks, from purely electric to hybrid and classic combustion engines. Innovations are to be expected in the area of alternative fuels in particular, such as biofuels and hydrogen.<\/p>\n
